©Beijing HMCH Anime Co.,LtdAniplex has unveiled a main trailer for The Legend of Hei II‘s Japanese dub, featuring a segment of Aimer‘s “Little Bouquet,” the theme song for this iteration of the Chinese animated film.

©Beijing HMCH Anime Co.,LtdThe Legend of Hei II premiered in China on July 18 and was released in North America on September 5. It is set to premiere in Japan on November 7 JST. The Hanmu Chunhua-produced film is a continuation of 2019’s The Legend of Hei, which drew inspiration from the 2011 Flash animation series The Legend of Luo Xiaohei. GKIDS’ synopsis of the sequel states:
When an attack disturbs the delicate balance between the spirit world and humanity, Hei joins forces with Luye, the last disciple of his Shifu Wuxian, to uncover a plot that endangers both worlds – and the bond they are committed to safeguarding.
Featuring stunning, hand-drawn animation from directors MTJJ and Gu Jie, The Legend of Hei 2 is the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2019 film The Legend of Hei, offering an emotionally charged and thrilling narrative that will captivate both new and returning viewers.
The Legend of Luo Xiaohei was created by Zhang Ping, also known as MTJJ.
